Let's start with this...
last Friday
Granola Bars... so yummy and not to mention they're made to order.. by me usually, but the entire family does love em'. This was white chocolate with cranberries and apples. I also made dark chocolate coconut. Love these!
This fine green pepper was one of the few things I actually picked from our garden. I don't know what happened to by cucumbers. I have lots of them, but they're really fat and yellow:(
Saturday
Emerson, 7 years old did her first Triathlon. She did great... I was a nervous wreck! So proud of her:) Check out the photo album later.
After the race we headed to Elk River and had a fun day on friend's boat. Tubbing, skiing, knee boarding.... lots of fun on that beautiful day.
Sunday
I LOVE SUNDAYS. My guaranteed day with my family, at least when Jess gets home on his working days. Primary has me very busy and church time goes by very quickly. I think Evan is having a bit of a rough time with me being President. He wants to be by my side constantly... he does fine when he gets into the classroom. He has great teachers.
Monday
Had friends over for FHE.
Tuesday
Roller Skating! I have such a great hubby. Haven't been to the rink in forever and the place looks exactly the same!
Wednesday
We went to the beach and did a little swimming and then went to a cute little Mexican place for dinner and headed to get Emm and Evan sneakers for school. Mission accomplished. I even got a new pair! Yay!
Thursday
Classes posted at Emm's school. She is in a class of 27!!! What? Crazy. Sent an e-mail to school to ask why when the other 2nd grade classes have 22-23 in each. She's excited to start. We watched Marly and Me... cute movie and bedtime came just in time for me to turn off before the sad part came...
Friday
Date Night... we need to plan better, but Jess' pointed out that at least we are alone for a few hours. We went to Rice, a great Sushi place and then stopped into McGlynn's to see if the Phillies game was on, no luck and then went to our favorite ice cream joint and shared a banana split.
This is what I had for dinner.. forget the name, but had shrimp tempura, avacado, mango and some sweet and spicy sauce. It was heaven! Jess had a tuna roll and we shared the best General Tso's chicken I've ever had.
That Night it rained like crazy. I'm talkin' loud, rumbling thunder with craz lightning ALL NIGHT LONG! I'm not kidding either. Usually they roll right thru, but I was up all night. Thankfully, I live with some heavy sleepers. The kids didn't wake up once! I know I was up for a few hours in the middle of it all.
Saturday
Stayed in the house all day. I got alot done and did manage to force myself onto the treadmill for 45 minutes. Made pasta with a yummy sauce for Jess when he got home. I made homemeade cinnamon bread and a few smaller loaves for his HT families. Nice night.
Sunday, today
Woke up and we had our traditional oatmeal with cranberries, walnuts and brown sugar. Headed off to church , with Jess... yay for days off:) Did Sharing Time for the 3rd time this month.... Came home and watched Phillies win that ended with a fine triple play. Made dinner and chocolate chip cookies... gotta quite baking. This has not been a good summer for me.. lost a bunch of weight last summer, doing the opposite this summer. Jess left after dinner to HT and the kids and I watched some Science channel (currently our favorite network). We got them to bed at 8:30 tonight.. although I hear Easton still... he's the only one that took a nap this afternoon. I'll sure miss Emm when she's back at school.
